HLPF 2026 welcomed the Voluntary National Reports s from 36 countries and focused on the SDG 6, SDG 7, SDG 9, SDG 11 and SDG 17. The UN SDG Action Campaign facilitated the participation of the civil society representatives in the panels and developed the opening video entitled “A Future Still Ours to Shape.

The HSC 2026 brought together +1,600 participants from 100+ countries around the shared ambition of driving progress together. The UN SDG Action Campaign brought the voice of youth and hope through the Nigerian poet, UN Global Advocate for Peace, and one of the Heroes of Tomorrow, Alhanislam who delivered two breathtaking performances.

The German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) welcomed hundreds of visitors offering public discussions with government leaders, and cultural performances to showcase Germany’s international development cooperation and engage citizens in global sustainability issues. The UN SDG Action Campaign was pleased to meet with the public and share its work.

CO[OPERA] 2026, Italy’s National Conference on Development Cooperation, reinstated that progress only happens when people act together. The UN SDG Action Campaign contributed by bringing two artists who demonstrated how creativity and art can inspire reflection and spark action.

ECOSOC Youth Forum focused on transformative, equitable, innovative, and coordinated actions to advance the 2030 Agenda. The UN SDG Action Campaign facilitated the participation of youth leaders and captured the key messages through live visual scribing.
Ahead of the Summit of the Future, the Action Days brought together representatives from the UN, Member States, civil society, youth, academia, local governments, and the private sector. The UN SDG Action Campaign supported the Youth Action Day and the A Sustainable Future For All track. This engagement also included unveiling the HOPE IN ACTION digital art exhibition.
In March 2024, the UN SDG Action Campaign hosted the Civil Society Strategic and Networking Meeting at the UN Bonn Campus, which provided a dialogue space for civil society, UN representatives and the Co-facilitators of the Summit of the Future to share views and agree on messages, priorities and strategies towards the Summit of the Future and beyond.
The UN SDG Action Campaign supported the civil society’s participation and engaged in panels and workshops in the 2024 UN Civil Society Conference in Nairobi that brought together +2,000 civil society representatives, Member States, UN System officials, and other stakeholders in the lead up to the SotF.
In the lead up to the 2023 SDG Summit, the Campaign co-facilitated the high-level Civil Society Dialogue at the UN SDG Action Weekend, featuring the UN Secretary-General and civil society leaders, and also organized multiple consultations, informal dialogues and townhall meetings.
The UN SDG Action Campaign provided strategic advocacy and convening support to the Fifth United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries (LDC5) in 2023. The engagement in Doha included organizing five informative sessions at the UN SDG Media Zone, as well as a side event with high-level speakers on the unique role of campaigning and advocacy for the SDGs, particularly in amplifying the message of hope and mobilizing action.
The UN SDG Action Campaign supports the Civil G7 and G20 Social Summits through strategic advocacy and communication and facilitates the participation of the civil society representatives from the Global South.
The UN SDG Action Campaign amplifies the voices of civil society, youth and other communities across various communications platforms.
The UN SDG Action Campaign curates sessions within the UN SDG Media Zone that bring together world leaders, influencers, activists and media partners.
